$2.5 Billion Spent on Herbal Remedies

Yea, you read the title right. For the last 10 years the government has been spending money trying to discover which, if any, herbal remedies work to cure anything.
The following attempts were made:
- Echinacea for colds.
- Ginkgo biloba for memory.
- Glucosamine and chondroitin for arthritis.
- Black cohosh for menopausal .
- Saw palmetto for .
- for cancer.
None of them panned out.
This one worked: ginger capsules may help chemotherapy nausea.
So, lets stop spending money shall we? President Obama, you said you were going to go through the budget line by line, how about with this? Today this program, funded through the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine is researching “purported energy fields, distance healing and other approaches that have little if any biological plausibility or scientific evidence. Taxpayers are bankrolling studies of whether pressing various spots on your head can help with weight loss, whether brain waves emitted from a special “master” can help break cocaine addiction, and whether wearing magnets can help the painful wrist problem, .”
Please lets be more responsible… Funding energy field research for medical purposes is a little ludicrous….
