Its Only Been 4 Days and He’s Already Angered Me. – Tilly

President Obama lifted the ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions on Friday.  President Bush implemented this policy early on during his administration.  Of course this comes as no surprise to me.  I believe and have said before that it will soon become clear that President Obama is the most pro-abortion President in American history.  So while the radical left-wing media continues to swoon over the new administration and as they continually remind you of how historic it is for an African American to hold such an office, don’t forget what this man stands for and don’t fail to criticize him for it.  It angers me that my tax dollars will now fund abortions around the world and I will not get swept up by the emotional whirlwind that most of America is currently caught up in.

I want to give a shout out to the Vatican, who unlike many, publicly criticized Obama for his decision to overturn the ban.  The Vatican even had the balls to call President Obama arrogant. PROPS. We should be no less willing to voice our discontent with this new administration’s position on abortion.

I’m sorry your mind is so closed that you cannot see the relationship between freedom, personal autonomy, the rights of women, and the role of family planning with allowing federal money to be given to agencies which advise women of their reproductive rights and which only very occasionally fund medical abortions for women in dire need of them…If you are interested in Obama’s real views about abortion, read his speeches and website. He has stated that he finds abortion tragic, as do most people including those who support a woman’s right to choose. As far as I can tell, he would anger you no matter what he did because your mind and attitudes are too constricted for you to see anything but your own point of view. Obama supports abortion rights as given us by our constitution–denying those rights to poor women in other countries, who may have been raped or victimized or who are too ill or beaten down to sustain a pregnancy or support a child, is senseless and cruel.

I was really proud of that Archbishop for calling Obama arrogant. I watched a movie by Alfred Hitchcock last night called “The Rope” and it correlates to the abortion idea perfectly. I am going to take it up in a more detailed manner in a later post but arrogance is totally what is going on here. Liberals think they have the ability to take another life because they are more educated, more sophisticated, and more important than the weak life within. Such a pathetic, self-serving, and despicable idea. Each and every life is valuable and God given and to destroy it deliberately is worse than murder.

I am very disappointed in Suz. Tilly, I want to recommend you write up one of your anti-abortion arguments. Or several.

As for Suz, I hardly agree with you that family planning and freedom have anything to do with taking the life of an unborn child. Planned Parenthood, one of the biggest organizations that helps women with their “reproductive rights”, has a horrible track record of telling women they have other options, one reason they were denied federal funding.

I hardly think Barack Obama thinks abortion is tragic considering he would not want his daughters to be “punished with a baby.” If Obama really thought abortion was tragic, he would have a completely different opinion. A baby is punishment? What arrogance.

Suz…I encourage you to read one of my very first blog posts…https://practicalpolitik.wordpress.com/2008/08/26/36/. It is a good defense of the pro-life position.

And Jared. Rope is one of Hitchcock’s bests! I look forward to a post on that movie!

  5. Jared says:

Geez, now the pressure is on Tilly. Maybe I should watch the beginning of the movie too.

  6. Anja says:

Pro-lifers spend so much time thinking of a fetus and give not a thought to the women who have to carry a child they do not want. Yes, a baby is punishment to someone who doesn’t want it.

  7. Jared says:

Anja, I hate to say something you are totally going to dismiss, but if you do not want to have a child, there are ways to avoid it.

And if you make a mistake, get pregnant, there are ways to avoid killing off a human being.
